Lakhanlal Kashyap Durg, Chhattisgarh Lakhanlal Kashyap, born in 1915 in Patan, a bastion of freedom struggle, was a dedicated Congress activist deeply involved in India's freedom struggle. Born to Madhav Prasad Ji and Lakshmi Bai, he hailed from a family rooted in service and activism. His elder brother, Halaluram Vaidyarajji, was a prominent social worker, while his younger brother, Tukaramji, pursued veterinary medicine. Married to Savana Bai, Lakhanlal Kashyap's residence in Patan became a hub for political activities, serving as the Congress Committee office. In 1939-40, he spent significant time at Sevagram Ashram with Gandhiji, where he interacted with notable leaders like Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Vinoba Bhave, and Jamnalal Bajaj.
